Bangalore-1st January,2011.
1.Race Plaka, Hard To Pin Down, Beautiful Life.
The race is between Beautiful Life, Hard To Pin Down, Bon Giorno and Plaka .
Bon Giorno will like the step up in distance and is with a chance mainly because of its handicap advantage. Hard to Pin Down should run very well. Earlier ran 2nd to Delacroix, which won well again. Beautiful life last run was good will give a tough fight on base of that.Plaka didn't run well other day. The BLK should do wonders to the filly, can run away from all. Worth an E/W chance.
2.Race Star Marquess Tiberius, Mad About You.
The 3 year old race.
Star Marquess ran well last time, son of Intikhab, which will relishes Indian conditions. It has come up very well after last run.Jockey is the only concern.Tracking extremely well. Tiberius 1st run, tracking very well, has got Hughes guiding its fortune, will be a lively contender. Date With Destiny got abroad by stallion Doyen, one of the best horses for 11/2 mile distance in Royal Ascots history.This horse should be marked for future, today it looks very much under prepared. Mad About You has good first time up, tracking extremely well, should run a very good race.Lady Kleio is tracking well, nicely prepared, should run well 1st time up. Drawn badly, chance place bet only.
3.Race Celestial Son, Superb Style,Alpha Baby.
Celestial Son, ran well last time sporting bandages, should run very well this time. Superb Style and Alpha baby have handicap advantage, will give fight to all if tried honestly. Alpha baby needs to be ridden in check, can win.Worth a E/W punt.
4.Race Cruising from Tomsk.
Six horse field for the cup race.Tough race, as the pace of race will decide the final outcome. Cruising is a very in form horse, should give good account of itself. Tomsk is a very classy horse running in its pet distance, with Hughes astride will give problem to all.
5.Race Sun Control, Yas Marina, Spark of Desire. Upset: Karsini
Main race of the day, with the so called Classic race Oaks to be run.The field lacks any single outstanding horse making winner picking complicated. Out of the 11 horses running, the main contenders are as follows:-
One Life To Love: Trainer having very high hopes, tracking well and has improved a lot after last run. But winning here will be very difficult. Can only hope to place.
Yas Marina: Tracking well, has to be ridden in check, has chance to win if it stays the distance. I will surely have an E/W punt .
Sun Control : A bold move as a late entry into the race, ran very good last time out. Winning all three races of its career till now, only concern is that this race might have come a bit early for it. Has R.Hughes to guide its fortune, will surely fight.
Scarlette: Another late entry, flying down from Mumbai, to run here. Connections wants to judge its potential in this distance. I feel this horse will not stay the distance.
Balmoral Castle: This is a horse which has let down a lot of time. Very much hyped always. This horse is good up to a mile only.Due to lack of top class contenders, the horse will have a chance to place.
Spark Of Desire: Ran well last time out. Very much improved, will fight for honors.
Karisini: It is one horse which will surely stay the distance. Is very well bred, can upset, note.
6.Race Marie Curie, Misty Moonlight, Brunetta.
Marie Curie, carrying a lot of weight, otherwise would have won very easy.Brunetta looks ready to strike, drawn badly today.Jockey has to show good skills to win the race.Amazer tracking well, has to be ridden out to win the race. Will it be tried ??? Misty Moonlight has come up a lot after last run, will run a good race. Worth an E/W punt.
7.Race Joriki,Romance in The Air, Corleone.
Joriki, won well last time around, and tracking well, is the one to beat surely. Romance in The Air, tracking well, positive jockey change, is at a nice handicap, will try to run away with the race. Corleone is in with a chance mainly due to handicap advantage.

Kolkata racing on 1st January has a charm of its own, quite a history attached with that.

Bangalore 31st December,2010--Last race day of the year 2010
A small card for the day. It augurs well for everyone, as you can party hard at the end of the day and welcome the new year 2011.
Well here are my opinions for today's races:-
1.Race Sunny Superbe(Upset note), Indravati, Burning Ambitions.
Sunny Superbe is very well bred horse. The horse is improving very rapidly, might beat the set hands down. The step up of distance will suit it fine. Indravati and Burning Ambitions are the other contenders for the race. Angel queen can place if one of them fails to place.
2.Race Gazaki, Athabasca Star, Spark of knight.
Gazaki should win, based on its last run and jockey astride merit. Athabasca Star, running after 6 months, is a worry. Mock race was good, should give a good account of itself. Spark of Knight, looks like will not be tried but the horse looks to have improved a lot , can surprise, E/W chance at long odds.
3.Race Silken Touch, Hill Stone, Ben Ten.
Race for 2 year old are always interesting.
Ben Ten is well prepared, tracking well will run well. Hillstone is also tracking well, is well bred horse, and has also a top class jockey astride.Field Marshall well bred, but looks under prepared. Bavaria is also tracking well. Silken Touch is well bred and well prepared as well, should be the one to beat.
4.Race Sunspirit, Sweet Carolina Upset : Abnoba
The race should be restricted to Lads Gladiator, Sunspirit, Sweet Carolina and Abnoba. Lads Gladiator looks out handicapped. Sunspirit prepared well has best jockey astride.Abnoba has run well in all its run till date. 1st run of the season is the only concern.If fit enough can blow the field away. Sweet Carolina's last run was extremely good, has really come up, will keep everyone honest, will surely place.
5.Race Youre Stunning, Blue Origin, Sabari.
Bad race.Youre Stunning looks the best horse in this set. Blue origin looks well prepared can surprise all, worth an E/W bet. Sabari and Man down under can fight for minor placings.

Last race day of Mumbai. Very interesting card for the day.
Race1. Suzy Wong, Pharoah,Marudhar ratan.
On pedigree Suzy wong towers over all, and the 7f will just fit the horse fine. Pharoah will give a tough fight, but jockey merit is a question. Marudhar Ratan ran easy last time out can place if one of the two horses fail.
Race2. Glorius Miss, Celtic Manor,My Pet honey.
Race is between these three only. Upset chance is with Tudor Regent, if kept up with pace till the straight.
Race3. Hickory, Alohamora, First Lady. Upset: Aleutian Zone.
Bad race. Hickory should fight with Alohamora, and first lady. Alohamora is well placed for this race.Watch out for Aleutian Zone, has run in terms race so far apart from 1 class 20-46 , here looks set for a coup, note.
Race4. Mia Stella. Upset:Tromos
Four horse race for 1 1/2 mile race. Staying the distance is important for such races.The change of pace of the horse is also very important.Fire Vault will stay the distance easily, but not very classy.Tromos, looks a nice type is tested over this distance will stay.Dante Rossetti last run was good, but will it stay the distance that is the question. Mia Stella's last run was as well good. It is a late bloomer, improving lately. It will stay the distance, and will be the frontline contender.
Race5.Sine Qua Non from Misschevious Trot. Upset:Demonstrator
Misschevious Trot, Demonstrator, Sine Qua Non, Oh Calcutta will fight it out. Oh Calcutta is a good miler but this class might prove too much for it.Sine Qua Non running after a long time, looks fit on tracks, will give a fight to all.Demonstrator likes the straight of Mumbai, might not prefer the mile.Misschevious Trot ran well last time, will run very well.
Race6. Marauder, Swift Memories, Stromboli. Upset:Indomitable.
Race for 2 year olds.Daredevil will run well, is much improved after last run.
Marauder ran a very well race last time out, looks a very good type. The Step up of distance and jockey change will help. Everyone have to beat it in this race
Mountain glory has to prove himself, though has a top class Jockey astride.
Indomitable tracking well.The step up in distance will help the Diamond green progeny.
Stromboli-Got abroad by Bertolini whose progenies are more successful in sprints. Is tracking well.
Swift memories ran well last time, the step up of distance might help a lot.
Race7. Royal Gesture, Sea Bucaneer, Red Tobasco Upset: Beemer.
Tight race. Royal gesture should be the one to beat. Sea Bucaneer has not run up to the level last time, will run a very different race this time. Red Tobasco is speedy customer, if the jockey handles it well has a good chance. Beemer is the dark horse in the fray.
Race8. Laserre, Proud Star,Twin Spice.
Twin Spice Laserre Proud Star should fight it out. Gatravat can place at long odds.

Mysore Interesting Pointers for last race day of 2010 (for mysore).

Interesting Stallions for Indian Conditions
The racing conditions in India is quite different from rest of the world. A good pedigree performing all around the world can be a failure in India. So, what are the reasons for it?
1. The adaptability of a got abroad is very much important for the horse to do well.
2. Along with the adaptability we need to understand which horse progeny's like Indian conditions. The running ground adaptability is as important as the weather, because races are won on the field.
3. The progeny's of Stallion which normally do well in dirt's normally don't like grass and vice-verse.
So, what are the stallions which are present all around the world doing well in Indian conditions. The list i have been able to get after varying the above factors is as follows:-

Race 3.Lunar Quest from Constantina.
Race 4.Blackjack from Star Alliance.
Race 5.Scarface , Ocean Emperor, Great white.
Fight is between Ocean emperor and scarface. Riding skill should decide the fate of the race and both horse looks nicely prepared. Great white can update the fancied duo, if Srinath can ride like those jockeys.
Race 6. Salt, Mountain wind , Our chieftain, Incognito.
Tough call
Race is between Mountain wind, Our Chieftain, Salt, Incognito. Jockey is the main concern for our chieftain. else would have won easy. Considering the draw and jockey merit , Mountain wind can win, but make note of Salt , gets outer draw, will suit its style perfectly. Incognito needs to be alerted bit early, else will not have any chance.
Race 7. Michele marieci from High society.
An upset is expected if not in win atleast for place.
Race 8. Becket, Autonomy, Onassis
Becket should win from Autonomy. Onassis and Diego Riviera will fight for place. polish patriot can upset if race pace is slow, note.
